LVR NEWS BITS April 17 – LVR Open Play Day- the day was a lot of fun, even with the low turn-out. A little windy, but it warmed up. Casey Fowler did VERY WELL for his first time out running an event. Hi-Point Winners of the nice Headstalls went to: Crystal Murray, Walk/Trot; Sara Welby, 17& Under; and Patty Blight, 18 & Over. No entries in the leadline, so Casey paid for Andrea Meza & led her around the obstacles, he donated the big noseband halter & lead for high-point, so Andrea gave it back to him! Everyone enjoyed the un-mounted events, even the adults joined in the fun!! Thanks to Casey & everyone who worked the event! Great job!!! Also, a big THANK YOU to Rob Guerra for the use of his arena!!
May 18, 6:30-9pm, LVR General Meeting, China King Buffet & Restaurant, 1037 N. H. H St, Lompoc – Come at 6:30 to dine, meeting will start around 7pm. May 29, 21st Annual Open Poker Ride, and Campout May 27-30, Chamberlin Ranch, Los Olivos.– Come enjoy a fun weekend camping & riding on the big, beautiful Chamberlin Ranch. There are no hook-ups, but water is available. Saturday we’ll have a day ride & potluck BBQ, bring your own meat & a side dish to share. Sunday is the Poker Ride!! Even if you don’t camp, you can still join us for the day & enjoy the ranch & a chance to win CASH!! or many of our raffle prizes. There will also be a silent auction & 50-50 drawing. Kim still needs to turn over all treasurer’s stuff. Poker Ride Committee Meeting at 9am at Tom’s. Hillary Trail Boss for Campout. She’s home now & is recuperating nicely. Things have been a little crazy on the home front, so my apologies for not keeping on top of things with the club. Thank you all who sent your wishes of get well to my mom, she really appreciated it!!
